Feb. 3rd through March 11th.

Continuing demolition.

Beginning of the kitchen wall removal.

Feb. 4th. most of the wall removed.

No water, no power, NO back wall.

The beginning of the excavation.

The stairs down to the cellar are now gone. We found what was probably the original ground rod. They Gascony just poured those steps right over it, partially encasing it in the concrete.

The cellar stair wall has been removed.

By the end of today there was a good ramp to start the basement dig. I cut and finished removal of the last exterior brick wall to be removed.

We are saving all of the old bricks for later use in the project.

We started digging out the floor in the cellar. I am removing the remaining pipes and wiring.

Feb. 14th, excavation for the new master bath.

We found this random pipe. As far as we can tell it was the original drain for the kitchen. It went from the kitchen then est under the carport, then across where we found it then north across the front yard and out to the sewer line in the street.

Feb. 19th. Here is a sample of the duct work that I removed this evening.

The footing is all ready to have the concrete poured for the master bath.

Feb. 24th, Footings for the master bath are poured.

The first basement footings in the cellar are poured.

The view through the stone foundation wall where the heater ductwork went.

To remove the old ductwork I had to use a ladder to get up to tear the old out.

The back walls removed and the beginning of basement dig. 03/05/14

Multi-story stick house. No Huffing or Puffing allowed!

How many people can drive a tractor under their dinning room? It looks like it is being held up with toothpicks! — with Harper & Company.

03/06/14  Some of the old duct work. No wonder the furnace ran all of the time.

More views of the "stick house".

The first interior walls have been removed and temporary walls are in place.

A view of where the old brick walls were. They just built the brick walls and then place the floor boards up to them..

The middle room with the first of the woodwork removed. all of it is to be saved and replaced later.
